Small church? Big vision!
According to the experts, a small church is one with 30 or fewer regular attenders. That means that just about every church I know in Powys (with one or two exceptions) is a ‘small church'.
In spite of the regular research that suggests that healthy smaller churches are often more effective in reaching not-yet Christians, there is a great misconception that these smaller communities of faith are not really that important, or that a small church is either a growing church on its way to becoming a successful larger church, or a church in its final phase before having to close.
But what if God has a place in his plans for us small churches? It has been said that God must love small churches - he made so many of them. For those who are daily living in the reality of the smaller church we want to offer not only encouragement but also the vision that a small church can make a difference, plus some of the practicle tools to help make the vision a reality.
We hope you will be able to join us for this day conference.
